JV Navy Preseason Summary
8/12/2019by Witt

JV Navy has had a productive and active preseason. With 2 wins, 2 losses, and a tie we definitely have plenty of room to grow as a group to make sure we are playing our best soccer at at the end of the season. There are also tons of positives we can take away from the games so far and we should still be a confident group with a ton of potential! We are in a pretty aggressive formation that encourages defending players to be very involved in our possession and attack. With that though comes a certain level of risk for teams to counter or take advantage of us being out of our shape, something that definitely happened multiple times this past week. The group overall is still getting to know each other and find that collective chemistry. Roster changes along with player absences and injuries have definitely been a challenge for the guys to overcome in order develop that team cohesion. The good thing is that every player in training is exceptionally hard working and training sessions are always very competitive. That same energy and competitiveness now needs to translate over to the game field where there has been a drop off in energy this past week. We have 5 games this week alone so we should be getting some great tests and hopefully great results!
